SelTrac Ops is a workforce application for authorised local authority (PBT) cleansing supervisors in Selangor. An account is issued by your employer or the operating authority; the app is not for general public use. This policy explains what we collect and why.
1. Information we collect
- Account and identity — name, staff identifier, email, and the PBT you belong to. Provided by your employer when your account is created.
- Location — approximate and precise location, captured at two moments only: when you check in or out of a shift, and when you file an SML report. See Section 3.
- Work evidence — photos you capture for a report, together with the GPS coordinates and timestamp recorded at capture, submitted as proof of inspected or completed work.
- Attendance data — check-in and check-out times with their location stamp.
- Report content — the category, remarks, and date of each SML report you submit.
We do not collect location or evidence for personal, advertising, or profiling purposes.
2. How we use information
- Verify that field work was inspected at the correct location and time.
- Produce daily SML records for supervision and reporting to the responsible local authority.
- Support quality control and operational auditing.
- Maintain the security and integrity of the service.
3. How location works
- Location is captured only at the moment you check in, check out, or submit an SML report.
- The app does not track you continuously, does not run a background location service, and does not access your location when the app is closed.
- You are asked for permission before location is first used. You can revoke location permission in your device settings, though check-in and report submission will then be limited.
4. Sharing
We share your information only with:
- Your employer and the responsible local authority (PBT) managing the field work, for supervision and reporting.
- Service providers that operate the app on our behalf — application hosting and evidence photo storage — bound to process data only for these purposes.
We do not sell your personal data or share it for advertising.
5. Data retention
Operational records (attendance, SML reports, evidence photos) are retained for as long as needed for field-operations reporting and audit by the responsible authority, then deleted or anonymised in line with that authority's retention requirements.
6. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Access to backend data is restricted to authorised administrators.
7. Your rights
To access, correct, or delete your personal data, contact your organisation's administrator or us at the address above. Because accounts are managed by your employer, some requests may be actioned through them.
8. Children
SelTrac Ops is a work tool intended for adults. It is not directed at, or intended for use by, children.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date and, where appropriate, notified in-app.
